How to connect a LinkedIn account (2FA method)
Connecting your LinkedIn account to DoReach takes just a few minutes. The most reliable setup uses an authenticator-app 2FA secret key — it lets DoReach log in unattended and handle re-authentication automatically, without needing to bother you every time LinkedIn asks for a verification code.
Before you start
- Have your LinkedIn login details ready
- Decide your proxy country
- Set up Authenticator-app 2FA on LinkedIn first
Step 1 — Add the account
Go to:
- Accounts → Add LinkedIn Account
- Enter a friendly label for the account (e.g. "John – Sales"), your LinkedIn login email and password, and select your proxy country.
- When you save, DoReach generates the account's browser fingerprint and assigns a dedicated proxy for that country. The account status will show as Setup pending.
Step 2 — Complete 2FA setup
You'll be taken to the 2FA setup screen. Here's how to get the secret key from LinkedIn:
- In LinkedIn, go to :Settings → Sign in & security → Two-step verification → Authenticator app
- When the QR code appears, click "can't scan / enter a code manually" to reveal the secret key — a roughly 32-character string.
- Copy that secret key and paste it into DoReach's 2FA setup field, then click Verify.
- DoReach will generate a live 6-digit code from the secret to confirm it's valid. Storing the secret key is what allows DoReach to log in unattended and re-authenticate later without interrupting you.
Step 3 — Finish
- Click Finish/Complete the account moves from Setup pending to Active or warmup
f you have warmup enabled. Your account is now connected and ready to be assigned to campaigns. - You can skip the 2FA step if the account doesn't use it, but accounts with a saved authenticator secret are significantly more resilient to re-login challenges over time.
What if the account uses SMS 2FA instead?
- Switch it to Authenticator app 2FA in LinkedIn first — SMS codes can't be auto-entered.
Troubleshooting connect
- "Secret key too short/invalid" → make sure you copied the full base32 key (no spaces), not the 6-digit code.
- Stuck on Setup Pending → reopen 2FA setup and Verify/Finish; an abandoned setup never goes Active.
